Last Friday I participated in an IT Innovation Summit in the Silicon Valley where more than 500 Community College faculty, students and administrators (along with K-12 representatives) met to learn how to “close the innovation gap” and accelerate innovation. We were fortunate to have Judy Estrin, a very pro-education business and technology leader, and author, provide the keynote address.
The IT Innovation Summit is a series of presentations that will be repeated throughout the state. The next IT Innovation Summit will be held in Sacramento in March just prior to the Education to Career conference.
I would like to acknowledge the exceptional effort and results we have enjoyed through our partnership with Bill Cullifer, Executive Director of the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW). Bill get’s things done! He was the “strong wind” behind the IT Innovation Summit, and continues to devote his time, resources and ability to be an industry sector advocate for students.
